The sequel trades straightforward war missions for a stranger time-travel plot, sending your squad through settings ranging from medieval battlefields to an alien planet. The core gameplay stays close to the original, but adds drivable vehicles — jeeps, tanks, and helicopters — that can run down or blast enemies directly, alongside new grenade and rocket pickups needed to destroy buildings and vehicles outright. It’s widely considered tougher than the first game, with steeper, more demanding level design.
