Upload Guidelines

For Members and Contributors

Welcome Contributors!

Amiga.Club encourages members to share original software, tools, documentation, artwork, and other Amiga-related creations with the community.

These guidelines help keep our software library organized, useful, and respectful of creators.

Before uploading content, please review these guidelines and our Software Upload & Download Policy.


1. What You Can Upload

Members are welcome to share:

  • Original software
  • Homebrew applications
  • Games
  • Utilities
  • Development tools
  • Source code
  • Scripts
  • Documentation
  • Tutorials
  • Hardware guides
  • Configuration files
  • Demo scene productions
  • Original artwork
  • Original music
  • Community projects

2. Before You Upload

Before submitting a file, make sure:

☐ You created the content or have permission to share it.

☐ The file description is accurate.

☐ The correct author information is included.

☐ Licensing information is provided when available.

☐ The upload is related to Amiga computing or the community.


3. Include Good Information

A quality upload should include:

Title

Use a clear project name.

Example:

“Amiga Disk Utility v1.2”


Description

Explain:

  • What the software does.
  • Who it is for.
  • How it is used.

Compatibility

Include:

  • Amiga models.
  • Required RAM.
  • Kickstart requirements.
  • Emulator compatibility if applicable.

Version Information

Include:

  • Version number.
  • Release date.
  • Change notes.

Credits

Include:

  • Creator name.
  • Contributors.
  • Original sources.
  • License information.

4. File Preparation

Before uploading:

  • Remove unnecessary temporary files.
  • Include documentation when possible.
  • Use clear file names.
  • Avoid password-protected archives.
  • Avoid unnecessary executable installers.

Recommended archive formats:

  • LHA
  • LZX
  • ZIP
  • Other commonly supported formats

5. Software Licensing

Please identify the license for your upload.

Examples:

  • Open source.
  • Freeware.
  • Public domain.
  • Personal project.
  • Permission-based distribution.

If you are unsure about licensing, provide as much ownership information as possible.


6. Do Not Upload

Do not upload:

  • Pirated software.
  • Cracked commercial software.
  • Unauthorized ROM images.
  • Proprietary firmware.
  • Copyrighted material without permission.
  • Files containing malware.

7. Reviews and Approval

Uploads may be reviewed for:

  • Organization.
  • Accuracy.
  • Security concerns.
  • Licensing concerns.
  • Community suitability.

Approval does not guarantee that software is bug-free or officially supported.


8. Helping the Community

Good uploads help everyone.

Consider adding:

  • Screenshots.
  • Documentation.
  • Source code.
  • Tutorials.
  • Example files.
  • Discussion topics.
